 I'm going to start this post with a soccer legend auto, former Arsenal great Ian Wright. Some of these soccer legends still have insanely good value from a buying perspective as the US market is still slowly coming around to the sport. I do fully believe that someday in the not-too-distant future that soccer cards will be more valuable than they are, and they are already going up because of the Asian market as is. When the World Cup hits in 2026 there will be a lot of buy in. This Wright auto is a gold /50.

Check out this cool little YouTube video from a few years back about Ian Wright and his former school teacher Mr. Pigden. I highly encourage you to look up the story behind it, especially in these crazy times we live in. 

A couple more random autos I've pulled out of retail recently. I pulled an Anthony Gould rookie Select auto and a Mike Miller Mosaic auto. Each of these is worth about $5 tops but it's always fun to pull autos from retail when they aren't guaranteed.

 I've recently made a couple purchases from eBay of NFL Hall of Famers, including one my favorite players of all time, LaDainian Tomlinson. I went with the National Treasures on card auto for Tomlinson, and it's a good looking card numbered 14/49. This is the third Tomlinson item I have obtained, the first being a football he signed during his rookie year and the second being a jersey at a signing I attended 20 years ago. The other eBay item that recently was delivered was newly inducted former offensive lineman Joe Thomas of Cleveland Browns fame. As you can see, this card is numbered /50. Offensive lineman have almost no value to people that sell, so I was able to add this card in particular for real cheap. Any time I can get a cheap Hall of Famer, I'm in, especially an all time great player.

Los Angeles Dodgers @ Petco Park 4/10/13

I decided to head downtown to Petco Park for the first time this new season for my first foray into my hobby of collecting autographs in quite some time.  I skipped out on Opening Day due to the fact that all the hoopla associated with the opening of any new season.  I walked to my spot during the bottom of the ninth in what turned out to be a 4-3 Dodger win. I found out from one of the guys waiting (a nice fellow who was visiting from Florida) that the Dodgers were staying in the Omni Hotel, which is actually connected to Petco Park by a bridge that visiting players often use to circumvent the autograph hounds that wait below.  This was a little disheartening at first, until I also found out that most of the dodgers actually walked out at ground level the night before.  All in all there were only about ten or so "graphers" waiting, as opposed to the rumored forty the night before, so the potential for a good get was obviously there. Top 10 Baseball

 This was definitely the hardest list for me to put together as I have nearly 500 autographs from major leaguers. This list consists of my favorite ten items in my baseball collection so I put a lot of my arithmetic into how I obtained these items, who the player is, etc. It isn't necessarily the list of my ten highest valued items from the sport. 10. Bobby Witt Jr. This was a cool through the mail request I received back from Witt before he made the big leagues and became one of the five best players in the game. It was a prospect card and I actually sent it to his parent's house in hopes it would get to him (his dad was a MLB pitcher). It took some months, but I ended up getting this card back; 9. Julio Rodriguez The second biggest auto I have ever pulled from any product, I had to get this Julio Rodriguez on my list. As a recap, check out this  link .
