Felix Hernandez Private Signing

Image
I am very happy with a return I got back yesterday from a private signing of former Seattle Mariners ace and potential Hall of Famer, Felix Hernandez.  As you can see, this is a nice, bold, legible signature and it's on his 2005 Topps prospect card. It's actually on the gold variant numbered to 2005. I'm really happy with how this one turned out, especially considering a couple of my recent returns from signings came back with creases and another didn't come back at all.

Through the Mail-Cliff Harris

It has been a long time since I got a through mail request back, and it mostly stems from the fact that I haven't really sent anything out to anyone recently since most of the Hall of Famers that sign stuff through the mail are guys I already have sent to in the past. As such, over the course of 2023 I believe I've only sent a few things out, and one of those was this 1975 Topps Cliff Harris card. Harris a safety that played for the Cowboys and, as is typical for pretty much all of my requests, is a Hall of Famer in his sport.  The card came out nice, with a big, bold signature. It took a bit over a month. As I do with all of my requests, I put this into the TTM tracker on this site. It's a tool I have created for people to see who I have sent to in the past and how long it took to get an item back from them.

Alan Page Private Signing

I'm still trying to catch up on some stuff I've added to my collection, and one of those things was a signed card I had sent in to Vikings Hall of Famer Alan Page. If you look towards the bottom right of the card, you'll notice a small crease that I know was not there when I first sent the card in to the signing. This is the second card I've received back with a crease and it's starting to bug me a little.

Catching up on Additions-Baseball

I've recently added a few autographs to my baseball collection, as well. The first is a Panini auto of Ronald Acuna Jr., which is much cheaper than it otherwise would be since Panini doesn't have the Major League Baseball license like Topps does.  To be honest, you can't even really tell there that are no Braves logos on this card and what I like even more about it is that it is an on card auto.  The other player I added via purchase was Jarred Kelenic, the kid playing for the Mariners that is having a post hype breakout this year. The aqua colored card is numbered /75 and the other one was numbered /225. Since I bought low on both of these, I do plan of flipping one to make my money back on both combined. Both of these autographs are also on card.  These Kelenic cards come from the Topps Inception set, and the teal one in particular is a beautiful card.  I also went prospecting with another player, Colorado Rockies rookie Ezequiel Tovar, though that gamble hasn't paid
