Through the Mail-Billy Shaw

Image
My second return of 2023 came yesterday, and it took about two months to be returned. This return came from former Bills offensive guard and football Hall of Famer Billy Shaw, who was kind enough to send me an extra signed card, both with his HOF 99 inscription on both. He also sent back what appears to be a pre printed letter explaining the delay in the return and some info about where the donations go.

Through the Mail-Bobby Bell

My first return of 2023 came a bit over a week ago and right before my birthday, as former Kansas City Chiefs linebacker and football Hall of Famer Bobby Bell returned a card signed. As you can see below, he also included his HOF 83 inscription.  We're off to a fast start in 2023, though I don't foresee quite as many through the mail requests going out this year as I already have collected most of the guys that do it actively. I might cut back quite a bit on buying sealed retail cards and partaking a bit more in paid signings this year.

Through the Mail-Dwight Stephenson

Late in 2022 another through the mail request came and I hadn't gotten around to posting about it yet. Former Miami Dolphins center and football Hall of Famer Dwight Stephenson returned a 1984 Topps rookie card.   This is the autograph that closed out what ended up being a very good 2022 from an autograph standpoint.
