Ted Williams

I've made the decision recently to try and consolidate some of my stuff for two reasons.  One, I have a lot of signed items and there is only so much space to display the stuff.  A lot of what I own ends up sitting in the closet and to me, there is no point in collecting memorabilia that people cannot see.  Secondly, I want to start focusing on the upper echelon players.  I already have one full baseball display case of Hall of Famers and I'm likely to eventually end up with two.  I figure that if I sell off some of the redundant autographs I have, then I can both clear space and use the money to target items from the all time greats. First up?  Ted Williams.  If you've read anything on this blog in the past you know I am very cautious when it comes to obtaining where I get my autographs from.  For this particular photo, it came with Ted Williams Family Enterprises authenticity.  As an added measure, I ran the autograph by Ted Williams experts on a forum I am part of,  http

Tyreek Hill

I'll preface this post by saying that I dislike the person Tyreek Hill is. However, I'm always keeping an eye on good deals and I came across a deal that TSE Kansas City was having for signed Hill photos.  TSE is a company that I have bought a couple of items from in the past, but that TSE was in Pittsburgh.  I had noticed on Twitter that there were three more TSE locations that I was unaware of, one in Minnesota, Cleveland., and this one in Kansas City.  I believe that they are new because all three of them have been hyping some good deals on twitter.  You can check out some of the TSE product  here . I do like the spotlight photos where the background is subdued and the player that has signed is colorful.  Also, there aren't many photos out there with a player mid flip.

Fernando Tatis Jr.

Thanks for reading these blog posts.  I figure it will give people into this hobby something to read during this weird time in world history.  Recently I picked up a signed baseball from Padres young phenom Fernando Tatis Jr.  This signed baseball comes with JSA rookie authentication meaning it was certified prior to Tatis' rookie season being completed.  As a Padres fan, this was a particularly exciting find for me.

I've recently been looking at Pristine Auction after doing some extensive research about it.  Before I get into the autographs themselves, I think it's extremely important to really look into any and all online autograph retailers before making any type of purchase.  There is an unending pall over the industry when it comes to forgeries, and to avoid any regrettable purchases it's important to look into each and every autograph you want to acquire.  With that caveat out of the way, I have been picking and choosing the items I get from Pristine, mostly based on how strong the authentication company is.  They work with JSA a lot, and in the past there was some suspicion that they could be selling non authentic items that were given certificates of authenticity by JSA.  I try to buy things that were signed in the presence of an authentication expert, which the COA will state.  It's not always possible to do so, so sometimes I have to rely on my own expertise and past exper
