San Diego Card Show

 I attended a card show a few weeks ago but haven't had the time to post about it yet. The card show was called Front Row card show and I bought a VIP to enter the venue an hour earlier. However, I severely underestimated how many people would be there and even though I showed up 45 minutes early, I couldn't find parking near the venue and had to park a few blocks away. I then stood in an entrance line thst had to be 1000 people long to get in. I still got in earlier than the general admission though. My intent was to drop some Lamine Yamal rookies off with PSA but instead I ended up selling a couple cards and buying a couple soccer autos for less than what I sold my cards for. I sold the Ethan Nwaneri rookie auto /50 I posted about on here as well as a downtown Marvin Harrison rookie I finally pulled from Optic. I bought these two cards which I'm happier to have in my collection. 

A Jude Bellingham Merlin rookie mojo auto /99 and a Vini Jr auto /99 from Topps Finest.

 I've recently made a couple purchases from eBay of NFL Hall of Famers, including one my favorite players of all time, LaDainian Tomlinson. I went with the National Treasures on card auto for Tomlinson, and it's a good looking card numbered 14/49. This is the third Tomlinson item I have obtained, the first being a football he signed during his rookie year and the second being a jersey at a signing I attended 20 years ago. The other eBay item that recently was delivered was newly inducted former offensive lineman Joe Thomas of Cleveland Browns fame. As you can see, this card is numbered /50. Offensive lineman have almost no value to people that sell, so I was able to add this card in particular for real cheap. Any time I can get a cheap Hall of Famer, I'm in, especially an all time great player.

Top 10 Baseball

 This was definitely the hardest list for me to put together as I have nearly 500 autographs from major leaguers. This list consists of my favorite ten items in my baseball collection so I put a lot of my arithmetic into how I obtained these items, who the player is, etc. It isn't necessarily the list of my ten highest valued items from the sport. 10. Bobby Witt Jr. This was a cool through the mail request I received back from Witt before he made the big leagues and became one of the five best players in the game. It was a prospect card and I actually sent it to his parent's house in hopes it would get to him (his dad was a MLB pitcher). It took some months, but I ended up getting this card back; 9. Julio Rodriguez The second biggest auto I have ever pulled from any product, I had to get this Julio Rodriguez on my list. As a recap, check out this  link . Top 10 Additions to the Collection in 2024

 Yesterday I compiled a list of my top five autograph pulls from sealed sports cards during 2024, so today I'm going to do a top ten list of all additions to my memorabilia collection that I added in 2024.  10. Pedro Martinez It was tough for me to come up with the bottom few items that make the list because I added so many big names throughout 2024. In the end, I decided on going with my Pedro Martinez rookie card I sent in to a private signing that happened earlier this year. It was an Upper Deck rookie card and it came out nicely. 9. Erling Haaland Soccer has become my primary focus in collecting and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to add the best striker currently playing in the Premier League, Manchester City's Erling Haaland. This card was an auto/game used memorabilia combo from a set I like, Panini Select. Haaland is the first of many huge soccer autos that came my way in 2024. 8.
