eBay adds

Image
I've recently made a couple purchases from eBay of NFL Hall of Famers, including one my favorite players of all time, LaDainian Tomlinson. I went with the National Treasures on card auto for Tomlinson, and it's a good looking card numbered 14/49. This is the third Tomlinson item I have obtained, the first being a football he signed during his rookie year and the second being a jersey at a signing I attended 20 years ago. The other eBay item that recently was delivered was newly inducted former offensive lineman Joe Thomas of Cleveland Browns fame. As you can see, this card is numbered /50. Offensive lineman have almost no value to people that sell, so I was able to add this card in particular for real cheap. Any time I can get a cheap Hall of Famer, I'm in, especially an all time great player.

Jeff Bagwell Private Signing

The second of the "Killer B's", former Astros and Major League Baseball Hall of Famer Jeff Bagwell came back from the same signing in which I obtained the Craig Biggio. For this card, I actually sent in an Upper Deck rookie card, and I'm happy with the way this card turned out, as well. Like the Biggio, this one came from the Tristar signing by way of a third party I found on SportsCollectors.net. That resource has been a boon for my collection as it has allowed me to track not only private signings that are happening but also athletes that sign through the mail.

Craig Biggio Private Signing

I used  SportsCollectors.net  again for two recent signings that occurred at the Houston TriStar show earlier this month. I wanted to add two Major League Baseball Hall of Famers to my signed card collection, both former Astros teammates Craig Biggio and Jeff Bagwell. I was able to send rookie cards for both of these requests, and they came out looking solid.

This return took a few months, but I'm happy with the results. Former Raiders and NFL Hall of Famer Jim Otto returned a card signed with his patented "00" and HOF 1980 inscription. Please check my through the mail tracker on this blog to see how long the requests take.

This was a request I thought I'd lost somewhere along the line, so I was surprised to see a return in my mailbox with the international stamp. This is a very cool return as it was my personal card I sent rather than one I found on eBay. I had this entire set as a kid so it adds more meaning to see it signed by one of the guys I grew up watching. This card was originally sent in March of 2022, and came back this month. So it took eleven months or so to get back to me. Never give up on any of the requests you've sent.
