Some pre-Christmas Product Openings

I've been taking advantage of some of the recent Black Friday/Cyber Monday/Thanksgiving week deals that pop up this time of year before the holiday rush. As such, I wanted to post a few of the hits I've pulled in various products.

The first two hits came from a 2025 Panini Prizm Club World Cup blaster case. Meaning, I found a big deal on a case of blasters and the auto I pulled was Brazil international, defender Thiago Silva. A good, well-known player is a pull I'll always be happy with. The better pull was not even an autograph but a huge case hit, a Kaboom. These are insanely hard to pull so I was stoked to finally get one. I wish it was a bigger name, but I can't be unhappy with either of these two hits. The Kaboom alone pretty much covered the cost of the case.

I added this CWC Prizm auto of former Uruguayan star Diego Forlan. Again, I am a sucker for the blue shimmer autograph parallels as this one is below. When I saw this one for cheap, I jumped on it. Blue shimmer are exclusive to First off the Line hobby boxes, so are considered SSP, or super short printed.

Moving off of real football (soccer) and to the American version, Panini has been dropping some really high yield yet affordable products. I already covered what I consider the best value openings of the year with Revolution a couple of weeks ago. Another random Walmart only drop was Phoenix "preferred" boxes/ These guarantee one auto and one mem card per box. I've seen some huge cards being pulled out of this product so I was a little disappointed in what I pulled. I got this Mason Graham rookie auto /99. He is undoubtedly a great player and a high draft pick, but defensive line isn't as collectible overall unless these guys become all timers. The memorabilia card ended up being a real nice chunky patch of rookie tight end Mason Taylor. That card is numbered /199.

Lastly, I have to be honest and say that the new Topps flagship basketball has been very good to me so far. I have nought three mega boxes, all three of which had rookie autographs. The first was the biggest, the Kon Kneuppel on card auto I already covered on this blog. That card is already hovering around $200 as he looks to be legit. The other two boxes yielded the two autographs below. The first is Walter Clayton Jr. and the other is Jase Richardson. Hopefully these kids end up being good NBA players as well so that these cards become even more coveted, much like the Knueppel.
