Wheeling and Dealing
I have been budgeting my resources for the hobby as it can get very expensive very quickly, and as such, I have been selling some of my non autographed cards. Yes, that mean I've been participating in more breaks and yes, I have hit a lot of cards that I'm now going to share. That also means I purchased a couple of really cool cards directly to keep in my own collection, and I'll be posting about those when they are shipped to me. As far as Fanatics live breaks, I participated in a case break of Premier League Topps Chrome and the first four autographs were all my teams. Saying that was a great start to that break would be a bit of an understatement. I've been avoiding the real expensive teams lately and been getting multiple teams at the same price or less combined than I would pay for a Liverpool spot, for example. This strategy has worked incredibly well, as I hit over 60 numbered cards, about ten autographs, and a huge case hit anime of Brighton forward Kaoru Mitoma. Below are the autographs and the Mitoma anime card.
For the first time in some time, I also bought myself a hobby box of Topps Premier League, though not the Chrome version. These boxes come with three hits, and one of my two autos was actually quite good, as it ended up England international left back and Chelsea legend Ashley Cole, numbered to 25. I also pulled a Juan Mata /150 and a Phil Foden player won relic /25, so all in all the box was decent.
While at the card store, I also bought a single card of Liverpool defender Joe Gomez /99 to add to my Liverpool collection. This was actually the first time I had ever seen a Gomez auto.
